HI, I’M BRIE.

I don't know about you, but I'm fed up with the wellness industry.

Okay, I actually do know about you. You *are* fed up with the wellness industry, the endless supplement-pushing, starvation diets, cleanses and detoxes. You're tired of feeling guilty for enjoying a hunk of bread or your non-organic strawberries. But you also want to feel healthy. You want to make good choices, feel great in your own skin and confident about the way you feed and move that beautiful bod.

"What does it truly mean to be healthy?"

It all started at the OBs office. Casually getting measured, poked, prodded when I was told that to get my baby to grow bigger, I needed to start eating candy bars and milkshakes daily.

Sorry, what?!?

That was the start of a year of discovery and deep dive into the world of nutrition and health. Question after question surfaced and I dove in chasing another answer. I knew I stumbled upon a huge problem: how does anyone find legitimate, trustworthy, credible information on nutrition and how can you implement it without becoming *obsessed* in a very unhealthy way?

The line can get blurry. And it certainly doesn't help that the internet is filled with charlatans promoting dangerous misinformation lies just to profit off of our fears.

I knew I had to help. Throughout my personal search for what actually works, I completed grad school, dozens of CEUs and trainings so I had all the tools, education and research to help busy women like myself navigate the murky waters of the wellness industry to cut through the bullshit and find what really works for you.

Now, instead of feeling lost, confused and frustrated with the onslaught of conflicting advice out there, you can easily tune out and start tuning in to your body's cues. With the methods available at Verdure House you'll know exactly what to eat, when and how much WITHOUT having to ditch your favorite foods.

The Primer

My running playlists toggle between show tunes, Tupac and Britney Spears.

I used to spend all of my time trying to fit in. Make myself the size people wanted. Do the activities people expected. Wear the clothes that everyone else was in. Buy every supplement and juice cleanse the cool kids were doing. Until it completely burnt me out and I decided I had to figure out what I wanted. What I need. How I want to show up in the world.

What I'm

loving

The Korean Vegan cookbook. Spontaneous front porch hangs with neighbors. 90s Hip Hop. Oat milk lattes. Everything bagel sandwiches.

What I'm

learning

The evidence-based link between diet + mood. Balancing family and work. How to play piano. My own physical limits. The perfect focaccia recipe.

What I'm

not about

Counting calories. Pseudoscience. Unqualified "holistic practitioners" giving nutrition advice. Working harder, not smarter. Fasting. Goop.

what I

believe

Human clinical studies > mechanistic models. Food is not earned. Nessie is real. So is Bigfoot. A good run can fix a lot of problems. Don't save the champagne for a special occasion.
